You're probably right. I guess I just take for granted that anyone in that kind of chain is the mayor - this probably stems from growing up on Trumpton and Camberwick green. I really have no idea who he is, in fact he might just be a rubbish purveyor of Norden hip-hop with a lot of bling. Either way, he looked important and was at the front of the parade.

I used to do a pub quiz at the sandbrook and he was on another team.

Haha - yeah the councilors of Rochdale take it in turns to play mayor. But the hip hop line is better.
I remember my friend, the previous mayor, Councilor Pete Evans explaining the difference but i forget the specifics.
